The Andorian chief security officer of USS Oakland, Shymel sh’Insynaph is an eager but level-headed shen who’s spent her entire career on California-class starships. While she’s come to accept that she’s not leaving anytime soon, and indeed has come to love the class, Shy has a long-buried craving to find a new posting that she thinks might be more eventful.
