History
Kaelara’s history is marked by trauma, resilience, and ultimately, liberation. Born on Bajoran, she was one of many who chose to start a new Bajoran colony in the Gamma Quadrant. She was one of the leadership council members for the New Bajor colony. Kaelara lived a peaceful life until the Dominion’s brutal attack on the colony. The Jem’Hadar’s carnage left few survivors, and Kaelara found herself among the lucky ones. She managed to escape the devastation, leading a small group of survivors in an older Bajoran cargo ship.
Kaelara’s freedom was short-lived, as her ship encountered a Borg scout vessel in a nearby nebula. The Borg assimilated her and the other survivors, destroying their ship in the process. Kaelara became a drone, given the Borg designation of ‘Two Of Five Primary Adjunct Of Trimatrix 51’, and had to serve the Collective Consciousness on Borg Sphere 489. For many years, she specialized in tactical analysis, her individuality suppressed by the Collective’s overwhelming influence.
The death of the Borg Queen marked a turning point in Kaelara’s existence. As the Collective’s grip on her weakened, she began to rediscover her individuality. She found a new passion for strategic thinking, and her experiences as a drone provided a unique foundation for her newfound skills. This newfound sense of self and purpose empowered Kaelara to forge a new path, one that would ultimately lead her to become a leader among her peers.
Kaelara’s journey eventually led her to encounter a group of former drones, including Aximo, a former Cardassian Gul. Together, they formed a community of ex-Borg individuals, known as the Kyrennei. Kaelara’s natural leadership abilities and strategic thinking made her an ideal candidate to lead the colony. Her Borg implants, modified to enhance her physical abilities, serve as a reminder of her complex past.
