Summary
Born to a well-respected Starfleet Captain and a noteworthy Starfleet Chief Medical Officer. Thomas joined the Academy at the age of seventeen, where he was an average student with a focus on being part of a rescue team, like his father.
After a routine training mission ends in disaster, Hunter is invited to enrol in the Advanced Tactics Program, where he develops his skills to become a Security Officer in Task Force 72 upon graduation.
Appearance
The first thing that you notice about Thomas is his red eyes – a small genetic defect, inherited from his grandfather – it is purely cosmetic, as far as anyone is aware.
Beyond the eyes, Thomas is a human male, standing at six feet tall, with short, dark hair, fair skin and – depending on his mood, either a serious stone-faced scowl, or the biggest stuff-eating grin.
Personality
At his very core, Thomas is a protector and a facilitator. His main focuses and priorities are making sure that the people under his ward are safe from harm.
Thomas can also be sometimes paranoid, but he is often reserved with his thoughts and opinions, until he feels the need to express them or his impatience gets the better of him.
Thomas is often described by his peers to be loyal, caring and trustworthy and he would do almost anything for the people closest to him, who he thinks of as a second family.
History
Thomas’ father was as veteran of the Battle of Wolf 359, where he was part of rescue operations to retrieve escape pods and shuttle craft, while Thomas’ mother was one of the field doctors, who treated the injured survivors – That is where they met. Thomas’ parents would later serve aboard the same starship during the Dominion wars, where they broke through enemy blockades, dropped ground troops and rescued injured soldiers.
Thomas was born soon after the Dominion Wars on Earth, but was infused with a sense of duty, after hearing war stories – so much so that he would use his grandfather’s flight simulator to play rescue games and then, when he reached the age of seventeen, he would join Starfleet Academy.
Thomas was very academically successful, and passed the vast majority of his courses with flying colours,
During Frontier Day, as a part of a vocational training exercise and display for some foreign dignitaries aboard a training vessel, when the ship is attacked and boarded by a powerful enemy, Hunter is forced to flee the ship with one of the Ambassadors and get them to the safety of Starbase Bravo.
Impressing the faculty at Starfleet Academy, as well as several department heads, Hunter is invited to develop his skills in the Advanced Tactics Program, where he flourishes in his talents for combat operations, close personal protection and hazardous rescue missions.
Thomas was then challenged with the Kobayashi Maru test, which he performed well and admirably in, though his results and method of completing the test have been classified.
