“There’s no need Captain. What the Blythe needs is a tow back to a major shipyard for an almost compete overhaul and a reinitialization of her warp core; both Bussard collectors are smashed and both nacelle struts are cracked. But we can worry about that part later, we have a mission to accomplish. It appears as though both the Ferengi and Dergans were quite suprised to see 16 shuttles and 40 escape pods launch just before we entered the Dergan atmosphere. A few of our shuttle pilots had actually nearly brought the shields down on the Ferengi shuttle down before the Slivin arrived and finished it off. We have detected one other Ferengi ship that is armed with the Breen device here in the Duwalla system. The Slivin will be intercepting it shortly.” Tyler said, as K’lev could see a few crewmen in the background attending to wounded on the side benches of the shuttle.

“What about the Soval? She was sent out from Framheim a few days ago, right?” K’lev asked.

“The Irrawaddy and Slivin both relayed our distress to her, she’s about an hour away heading here at maximum warp. Also, I was going to brief you on a request that was relayed to us by one the Dergan leaders before this most recent incident. They want their freedom from Ferengi oppression, they’re just scared of the reprisals if they rise up. Now it appears this incident might cause them to act hastily in an attempt to achieve their goals and move up their timeline. I have told them we will not interfere if they try to remove the Ferengi from their planet, but we won’t fight their wars for them either. Through my diplomat I have also told the Dergans that if the Ferengi try to attack innocent civilians then we will intervene on their behalf at that point. For now the Dergans have offered us the use of a large park near where the Blythe landed as a collection point for our escape pods and shuttles. The Irrawaddy will be rendezvousing with us here in about 5 minutes. If you need to contact me, I’ll apparently be leading this mission from the cockpit of a runabout from now on.”

K’lev nodded, turning to Tiza at ops.  “Tell Pelix to stand his repair team down; Blythe needs more work than we can do here to fly again.”

As Tiza set to his console, K’lev returned his attention to Tyler on the viewscreen.  “We’re certainly more than happy to give you a tow, Captain.  And you and your crew will be our guests for the flight, as well.  But, as you say, right now we’ve got a job to do; we’ll go looking for the other shuttle.  Need any supplies before we go, or did Blythe’s stores survive well enough to be usable?”

“Set aside a liter of that pure latinum you found recently, I have a feeling it might come in handy. But we’ll be alright, Captain. Go get that shuttle. The Soval will be here soon enough.”

K’lev nodded.  “Understood Best of luck, Captain.  Culver City out.”  With that, the channel closed.

K’lev then looked to Lieutenant Phillips at the helm.  “Got the coordinates?”

Phillips nodded.  “Yes sir, I’ve even got the target vessel spotted on long range sensors” they said.

“Then it’s time we went and took care of some business.  Intercept course, maximum warp.”  Culver City arced about, coming onto her new course before her nacelles flared as she went to warp.
