USS Typhon

Typhon-class • NCC-78100 • Typhon Wayfinding Division • Task Force 47 • Managed by CAPT Varen Wyll

“Hope will never be silent.” – Harvey Milk

The centrepiece of the Typhon Wayfinding Division, USS Typhon acts as a forward operating base for the Fourth Fleet in its ongoing endeavours to develop new friendships on the frontier. The first of its class to be produced in the waning days of the Dominion War, Typhon spent almost a decade in reserve before returning to service in 2402 as part of a programme to reinforce Starfleet after losses endured during the events of Frontier Day.

As part of its return to service, Typhon was refitted with the latest in developments with a focus on command and control systems, long-range sensors and deep space communications facilities to maximise its capability as a redoubtable hub for the division’s pathfinding efforts. Coupled with its vast airwing of auxiliary craft, the crew of Typhon take with them the light of the Federation into the empty spaces on the map.

Typhon Wayfinding Division

Tasked with pushing the boundary of Federation space, Typhon Division spend much of their lives on the extremes of Starfleet’s field of operations. Serving Task Force 47 as the vanguard of pathfinding initiatives, no job is too strange or unusual for the division if it serves to carry the Federation’s message to the next horizon.

“Please, please, please tell me the Breen have launched a full-scale invasion of the Thomar Expanse and the Cardassians are calling for aid,” Tikva Theodoras bemoaned as her XO stepped through the door from the bridge and into her Ready Lounge. Ready Room just wasn’t the right set of words [...]

“We confirmed the Oskoid arrived on location?” Maze stated, not looking at the ensign at his flank. The two walked with purpose down the corridors of the USS Typhon, both of their noses in their Data PADDs. “Yes, sir, a fresh bushel was delivered to the coordinates given by the captain before [...]

A sea of wheat twisted and turned in the pleasantly warm breeze rolling across the vast open landscape that surrounded the humble tan stone walls of Prophet’s Rest. Light golden ears danced pleasently in the air currents, lazily lolling lengths that hummed with the warmth of the late [...]

The Nebula-class cruiser that had dropped out of warp over Bajor was a far cry from the vessel she’d been two months ago. Once battered and scarred, USS Melbourne had spent more than her share of time, after her emergency scramble towards Sauria, in the yards- first for completion of [...]
