An old dame with a long and storied career, some would say ships like Melbourne are long past their prime. But to her crew, hashed-together at the last minute though it may be, there's nowhere else they'd rather be.
Recently returned from the fire and ice over Andoria, USS Melbourne is an old and battered, but intact, workhorse. Still, it was believed that Nightfall was to be her last action- until Task Force 47, largely by necessity, called her to service again. What was initially a last-minute call to action will become a misfit but tight-knit crew on a vessel that, though old, is far from being put out to pasture just yet. Sometimes all you need is a tall ship and a star to steer her by.
