USS Themis

Ross-class • NCC-76554 • Odyssey Heavy Explorer Squadron • Fourth Fleet

“Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.”

The USS Themis (NCC-76554) is a Ross-class starship assigned to the Odyssey Squadron to assist in exploring the Delta Quadrant. Led by former crewmembers of the USS Odyssey, the Themis’ job will be to re-explore what the USS Voyager had once mapped during its incredible seven-year journey home in the distant, dangerous quadrant. Named from a Greek goddess, the daughter of Uranus (Heaven) and Gaia (Earth). Themis was the personification of order and justice, who convened the assembly of the gods. The USS Themis will bring with it righteousness and harmony as it meets the inhabitants of the Delta Quadrant.

Odyssey Heavy Explorer Squadron

The Odyssey Squadron is a formation centred around the USS Odyssey, which served as the prototype of the Odyssey-class heavy explorer. The squadron is assigned to the Fourth Fleet and is currently under the command of Commodore James Preston McCallister. It has been designated as a deep-space expeditionary force in the Delta Quadrant, working closely with the Delta Exploration Initiative.

Established at the end of the year 2400, the squadron received orders to proceed to the Swallow Nebula region, located beyond the Gradin Belt, to initiate re-exploration efforts. Since then, it has explored areas previously undiscovered, made contact with new species, and re-established relations with others encountered before. The Odyssey Squadron’s efforts have been vital to Starfleet’s mission in the Delta Quadrant. Through the use of hyper-subspace communication data streams, it remains in regular contact with Deep Space Nineteen, its home base.

They shimmered into view in a gentle wash of transporter light, materialising side by side on the Bellerophon’s transporter pad. The moment the hum of the beam faded, Alfie exhaled slowly and looked around, adjusting the cuff of his fitted black button-down shirt. He tugged at it unnecessarily, [...]

Cambil glanced around her ready room. Outside the viewport, the deep blue and green hues of Talax painted a mesmerising mural across the starscape. But inside, the tension was slightly more mundane. She adjusted her uniform jacket, smoothing out an invisible crease. She sat behind her desk, her [...]

Captain Banfield took a deep breath, feeling the weight of her bat’leth in her hands. The flashes of holographic Klingon warriors surrounded her, their movements powerful and deliberate as they advanced toward her. The tension in the air was palpable as Banfield’s focus sharpened. With a quick [...]

Commodore James Preston McCallister rubbed his eyes as he fought another yawn, the warm lighting of the conference room blurring slightly in his tired gaze. The endless stream of reports felt like it was melting into one monotonous scroll of text. He let out a yawn he failed to suppress, covering [...]
