“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
The USS Bellerophon (NCC-74705) is an Intrepid-class Federation starship built in the early part of the 2370s and served with distinction during the Dominion War. Now, after thirty years of various missions within the Alpha and Beta Quadrant, the ship is assigned to the Fourth Fleet’s Odyssey Heavy Explorer Squadron. The ship has been sent to undertake deep space exploration assignments in the Delta Quadrant. The Bellerophon has been refitted for this mission and to retrace the steps made famous by another Intrepid-class that traversed the same region.
The ship’s quote is from a speech shared by the 44th President of the United States of America from Earth’s 21st century, President Barack Obama.

The Odyssey Squadron is a formation centred around the USS Odyssey, which served as the prototype of the Odyssey-class heavy explorer. The squadron is assigned to the Fourth Fleet and is currently under the command of Commodore James Preston McCallister. It has been designated as a deep-space expeditionary force in the Delta Quadrant, working closely with the Delta Exploration Initiative.
Established at the end of the year 2400, the squadron received orders to proceed to the Swallow Nebula region, located beyond the Gradin Belt, to initiate re-exploration efforts. Since then, it has explored areas previously undiscovered, made contact with new species, and re-established relations with others encountered before. The Odyssey Squadron’s efforts have been vital to Starfleet’s mission in the Delta Quadrant. Through the use of hyper-subspace communication data streams, it remains in regular contact with Deep Space Nineteen, its home base.

The Vaadwaur juggernaut loomed ahead, a vast but compact titan, its hull scarred but unyielding, still pouring fire toward the beleaguered Haakonian defence line. From above, the Odyssey’s three sections flew in with coordinated precision. The chevron section banked hard to port, phasers lancing [...]

The colossal warp core that powered the entire Odyssey thrummed with a steady and strong rhythm. From the uppermost level of main engineering, Captain Duncan leaned over the railing, hands gripping the cool metal. He took a quiet moment to admire the hard work his team had put in over the past few [...]

“Commodore’s log stardate seven-nine-two-seven-oh point two-one-five. For five days now, we’ve worked closely beside the Talaxians with patching hulls, repairing damaged systems, tending wounds, listening to the accounts of the survivors. In those quiet moments, as they speak of the ambush, [...]

“Nineteen warp signatures, confirmed, sir,” announced Rosle over the comm, her voice tight with urgency. That news sent a slight shiver down Captain Duncan’s spine. That news sliced through him like a blade of cold steel. His gut twisted. Nineteen warp signatures didn’t just mean trouble. [...]
